We are so excited to be bringing back our annual “Splash For The Kids” Powerboat Poker Run for the third year in a row! If you did not catch it last summer, this year’s charity event will once again be a multi-day event, with two exciting days of fast boats, a poker run, prizes, entertainment, food & drinks, and charity, stretching from July 19 and July 20, 2025.

The co-founders are two long-time boating industry business owners—Chip Miller of Miller Marina, and Eric Lafata of Lafata Custom Paint. Both of these men lost their fathers unfortunately at an early age. This has led them to support other children who have lost their parents.

Last season, over 200 people attended this 1st time boat event on 40 fast boats. While thoroughly enjoying the fantastic weather day and making new friends, over $20,000 was raised and was given to the Tennessee Children’s Home.

This year, Chip and Eric plan to increase the visibility for the 3rd Annual “Splash for the Kids” event. We will be hosting our Old School Offshore Reunion on Saturday evening at HOOK in St. Clair Shores, followed by the charity Poker Run on Sunday. Proceeds from this year’s events will be going towards two incredible charities benefiting children: St. Jude and Ele’s Place.
